If you've ever seen anime, I bet you guys have wondered to yourself, oh boy does she look cute. Kawaii, as the Japanese would say. In fact, I find all anime girls strikingly pretty. But... why is that?

All anime artists have different and various styles of drawing people. Thus, the look and feel between different anime shows can be extremely different. In some shows, people are drawn with small eyes; usually stereotyped with more serious anime. And in the shows where the people have large eyes, the anime is meant to be more comical.

However, I believe the universal factor that makes anime girls look so adorable is the way that the artist draws the face. More specifically the eyes and nose. In anime, the characters are usually drawn with larger than life eyes. Also, the noses are made so tiny and miniscule, represented by a dot which is the apex, and shading to either the left or the right to show the form of the nose. The eyes are drawn to be huge, because it's easier for the artist to express emotion in his or her character. More material is easier to work with, and thusly it better represents a character's emotions in anime. And in my humble opinion, Japanese anime is very expressive and very emotional.

Also, the hair is a pretty important factor. Most anime girls have wild hair colors, like blue, green, and purple, and that pretty much compliments their attitudes, as well as the hair style. What I find very cute in an anime girl's hair is how her bangs drape across her face. It fills me with a sort of comfort whenever I see those bangs curls about her face. Also, pig tails are a common feature in younger anime girls, and I believe that it adds a lot of innocence to her appearance.

Attitude is also something I look into when I consider an anime girl cute. Of course, the sweet, innocent anime girls are the ones which I believe to be the cutest of all. I hate watching brash, ambitious girls on screen because it fills me with resentment and I feel no comfort in that at all. At least with the quieter types I get to enjoy her soothing voice. It fills me with warmth all around.

The final factor which I find anime cute is their dress. When I watch anime I see the girls wearing dresses and mini-skirts most of the time. Maids are also commonplace for anime girls. And I'm sorry for being overzealous here but most of the time anime girls flaunt their panties! Even the ten year old girls like little Sakura in Card Captor Sakura is usually seen wearing an extremely tiny skirt. But all aside, dress compliments an anime girl's attitude as well. The more bad-ass of the anime girls wear skimpy outfits and the sweet, innocent girls are the ones who wear mini-skirts and dresses (I mean no offense to anyone here). However, most of the anime girls I observe are quiet and innocent. Oh yes, let's not forget cat girls. Perhaps the most adorable of the anime girls, who wouldn't want to cuddle with a furry feline? Complete with paws, fur, stripes, a tail, and little cat-like teeth, anime cat girls are worth looking at.

It's the appearance that makes an anime girl look cute. We all have different preferences, and we all have different viewpoints. As a result, we can find different things that we like in an anime girl. What I said above are all of the things which I believe make an anime girl so cute. Facial expressions, hair, attitude, and dress are what I consider when I think an anime girl is cute. What do you think makes an anime girl kawaii?
