Graphics: 9/10
Like the first, the Legacy of Goku games have some of the nicest graphics on the GBA. And better yet, not everything looks like the Kamehameha like the first! In fact, there are so many new graphics compared to the first, it'll keep you impressed throughout the game. Smooth character motions and all, my only problem was they didn't include Gohan's Namek Gi from Piccolo and Cell was WAY too tall. (In the show he was a BIT taller than Goku, but not what seems like 4 feet!) The Super Saiyan animations were nice too.
Story: 9/10
Almost all the lines in the game are taken from the show and magna itself. And you fought every battle in accordance to the series as well. And even more so, it manages to sneak in the Cooler movie into the game as well! Not the best way I could imagine introducing Cooler at first, but still, nice to see it snuck in there. Near the end of the game...it starts to lose it. After the training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku and Gohan were in, what is known as, Perfect Super Saiyan, where they can stay in their Super Saiyan forms without draining their ki. In the game they do not do that. Plus, they miss the part where Gohan gets his Namek outfit from Piccolo, in fact, he stays in his Saiyan armor for the rest of the game. And this is what ticks me off, when Gohan becomes Super Saiyan 2, they call it "Super Sayian Rage". I didn't like that at all. Other than those things and the vast array of Side Quests to complete (They ain't bad!), it's a very accurate story line.
Sound and Music: 8/10
Music, straight from the show. Nothing to complain about there. The Super Saiyan sounds have the sound where the aura is around them, but you don't see it. Nothing too astounding besides the music.
Gameplay: 9/10
2 things, you come to play DBZ, you stay for the side quests. There are about 40 side quests I can think of, and some of them are quite tedious, such as finding the 7 Nameks (in order to go to New Namek and fight Cooler). Training everyone to level 50 (besides Goku, well, you'll see why...) and collecting their character trophies to unlock a brand new character!
Overall: 8.7/10
Nice game, I suggest fans of the show play this game. The only quirk is that it's still called the Legacy of Goku, when you only play as Goku in the Cell Games.
