Graphics- 6.5/10
Ignore what you've heard. The characters look great. The anime style is cool, and they have some fairly decent detail. Then, why the 6.5? The arenas, framerate, and realism are AWFUL. Sure, some of the levels look decent, and sometimes kind of cool (The Cathedral is brilliant,) but for the most part, they look like somebody slapped a bunch of polygons in a blender, and puked all over the screen. As for the framerate, the characters suffer occasional slowdown, even when barely anything is happening on the screen. It's just plain annoying. And as another negative, the characters all use the same fighting stance, as well as fall down in the most erratic manners when hit. I mean, if you throw a punch at me, am I gonna' fall down sideways? Well, it depends on how you just took my last question, too.
Sound- 7.5/10
Kinda' cool, I guess. Not too much to say here, except that it has your average sound and musice effects. Oh, and the Cathedral theme pwnz. Sorry, had to say that.
Story- NULL
Story? There's a story here? HOT DAMN!
Gameplay- 7.5/10
Kind of erratic, as well, with plenty of flaws that could be corrected. However, all the moves are martial arts and actually exist, and for once, it's not a fighting game where you throw seizure-inducing balls of energy at each other. Another unique part is that when the time runs out, it's the player who technically excelled in the match that's declared the winner. That's right, health has little factor on your score. It's also worth checking for the ability to create your own fighter, although it's bogged down a bit by the training system. Getting the moves becomes rather irritating after a while, especially with the cheap computer opponents. It also features a team battle mode, where you fight three-on-three, and I found that rather cool. In the end, it's a better game for the multi-player features than anything else, and if you have a friend around, it's worth playing.
Final Score- 7.3/10
It's cool, even with a few flaws. It's not the best fighting game ever, but it's unique, and fun to play with a friend. Not much else to say here, other than the fact that I'm updating this forum more.
Now stop reading. I'm done.
