Graphics: 9/10
I seriously don't see anything wrong with the graphics. There are some things here and there that could use patching up, but over all, great cel-shading.
Story: 7/10
Please...You KNOW the X series is gearing up to a HUGE free for all battle to end the entire series, and we're at the 7th, and we're getting the same hints about Zero and X's destinies. Though, I liked the Red Alert story with Axl and all. A new freshness to the story line, almost revitalizing it! Over all, that's about it. Same ol' story like the first. Except it seems like X had some kind of breakdown.
Sound & Music: 8/10
I personally liked most of the music in the game, and the final boss music fits the mood perfectly. Now, as most people who've played a Mega Man game, know CAPCOM can't hire proper voice actors, or accurate dialogue at times (due to the timing needed for speeches in X7, I wasn't very picky on this, like in X6), Zero's voice, is pretty good in my opinion, but needed more feeling, he's overall monotone, though his serious moments, it rocks. Axl's voice is pretty much perfect. Except it's a little too deep in the beginning, almost making it seem he has something in his mouth. X's voice...is just...bargh to say the least. I personally can't stand his American voice at times. It's got no e
motion, and sounds like you're reading aloud in class, "The, cat, was, jumping, on, a, car", is what it sounds like. Other voices are good too, though I didn't care for Signas' voice at first, in the endings it's better.
Control: 9/10
Controls are great, all except for the camera at times, but it's not NEARLY as bad as some people make it out to be. I found it functional most of the time, and helped guide the way. The 3D controls are basically easy to master, though it takes some time to do it. 2D controls are responsive, and easy to use.
Gameplay: 8/10
If you like collecting, powering everyone up, and getting the three different endings, you'd give the gameplay a 3/10. I liked powering up Zero to use a 7-Slash combo move, and X's charging speed, and armor. Plus, if you pay attention, you can use new weapons for Axl and Zero, which is mad fun when you know what you're doing. Especially Axl's weapons.
Overall: 8/10
Good game in my opinion, though it's still repetitive like the rest. It makes you wish CAPCOM would just end the damn X series...(I though X6 would mark the end, since MMZ takes place AFTER X6 and NOT X7 it seems). Good for a rent, though I bought it, and gave me something to look forward to during school. I'd recommend it to anyone with an open mind towards the Mega Man X series (I think I may be the only one left
